Have you ever had an issue when you pull out your knives from the saya and found its covered with deep patina/ rust? We recommend cleaning up your carbon steel knives once in a while to make sure they aren't rusted or pitted. For this polishing kit, we include 2 containers

White(abrasive): Aluminium Oxide.Produces a dark slurry helps to remove minor scratches and rust spots. Each piece will be able to polish 2 knives. Each piece can handle 2 knives, depending on sizes.

Black(non abrasive): Iron Oxide. Produces a white slurry. Use this only when your knives achieved a semi mirror finish. Helps to differentiate the cladding(dark jigane) and core steel(white hagane). Each piece can handle 2-3 knives, depending on sizes.

If you have deep scratches on your knives, please use sandpaper before using this polishing kit.

This product is most prominent on high carbon steel knives and its effect on stainless steel will be halved but still noticeable
